WAITING LIST QUESTIONS
1. Do I need to leave a deposit to put my child on a waiting list for a camp that is currently full?
No. When your child is placed on a waiting list, no camp fee will be asked of you. If a place for your child becomes available, then you will be asked for the full camp fee.
2. If my child is on a waiting list and places on that camp become available, what do I do?
If places become available for a camp with a waiting list, we will contact people on the waiting list (normally by SMS) and let them know that places have become available. At this point the parent can decide to proceed with the registration or not. If parents do not receive a call, then places have not become available. If we do not hear back in the notified time, places will not be held and others will be notified.
3. Can I place my child on more than one waiting list at a time?
You are welcome to put your child on as many waiting lists as you like. If places become available on any of those camps, the procedure will be as for question 2.
4. If I place my child on a waiting list for their first camp preference and then register them for a second camp, but then places become available on their first preference camp, can I swap them over to the first camp?
Sure you can. A $50 transfer fee will apply.
5. If my child is on a waiting list for a camp and they have a friend who already has a place on it, will it make a difference to my child’s chances of getting a place on that camp?
No it won't. Your child will remain on the waiting list until places become available. These places will then be offered to those placed on the waiting list.
6. How do I find out what position my child is in on a waiting list?
A child’s position on the waiting list depends on when they make their booking. The earlier they book relative to a camp filling up, the higher they will be on the waiting list. While some waiting lists may be longer than others, we endeavor to make available as many places as possible to enable the maximum number of campers to attend each camp. If places become available for a camp with a waiting list, then parents are contacted (usually by SMS) as soon as possible to let them know.
