CAMP CHECKLIST
We've got all your packing questions covered!
CRU Camps are held in many different locations and seasons. A few weeks before the
start of your camp, you will receive a camper letter specific for your particular camp which includes exactly what to bring, plus start and
finish times and transport details. This will also be posted on the camps page.
To give you a general idea, most camps will at
least require the following general items:
- Shorts & t-shirts
- Jeans/long pants
- Long sleeved shirt
- Jumper
- Swimming costume
- Sleeping Bag or Doona
- Pillow slip
- Toiletries - soap, shampoo, toothbrush & toothpaste
- Hat & Sun Screen
- Water bottle
- Raincoat
- Insect Repellent
- Pyjamas & Underwear
- Torch
- Bible and pens
Optional
items:
- Disposable
camera
- Fitted
sheet
- Small
amount of money for vending machines or tuck shops
Please make sure
everything is clearly marked with the campers name. The Crusader Union of Australia
accepts no responsibility for personal property that you bring to camp.
Please do not bring
any expensive items on camp i.e. mobile phones, digital cameras, iPods, laptops
etc.
Mobile PhonesIt is strongly
recommended by Crusaders that campers do not bring mobile phones to camp. Mobiles are expensive and we cannot take
responsibility for such items. We have also noticed that mobiles can be
intrusive and can damage the sense of community that we seek to establish on
all our camps. If a camper needs to
contact their parents this can always be done by asking the director or a
leader.
Drugs and AlcoholCrusaders do not
permit the use of alcohol, non-prescribed drugs or smoking on camps. Anyone found in breach of this
can expect to be sent home immediately.
